Day 1 City tour, Transfer to Volcanoes NP
Our company guide from Taste for Afrika will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali or from Kigali International Airport to begin your Rwanda Gorilla and Tanzania safari. You will have a city tour in Kigali (if time allows before transferring to Musanze the closest largest city to Volcanoes National Park. the Park is inhabited by threatened primate species including the golden monkeys as well as mountain gorillas which reside particularly in the Virunga mountain ranges in Africa that are split by the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda plus Rwanda.

Day 2 Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
You will start the day with an early breakfast at your hotel then your driver-guide will pick you up and take you to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for orientation on the guidelines of gorilla trekking in order to protect the threatened mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking in the forests of Volcanoes National Park is an unrivaled experience. When the briefing is over, the senior professional park rangers will guide you far into the volcanoes while looking for the mountain gorillas. You will trek through the jagged landscape until you come across these gentle giants that will astound you as they feed their young ones or just play with them. After you meet the gorillas, you are allowed to spend only an hour with them. In addition, you may get the chance to see different primates that reside in Volcanoes National Park while you are trekking. After this, you will head back to your hotel to take a shower and eat lunch.

Day 3 Golden Monkey Trekking and transfer back to Kigali
You will start the day with breakfast and then return to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for orientation for golden monkey tracking, then proceed to the beginning spot. Tracking the golden monkeys could last anything between two to three hours and you should look forward to seeing the monkeys swinging between bamboo trees. While golden monkey trekking, you might see a variety of birds as well as primates that live in the Virunga Mountain Ranges.
You will then head back to your hotel for lunch and to check out. After this, transfer to Kigali and checking into your accommodation for the overnight.

Day 4 Take a flight to Arusha
You will start the day with breakfast at your hotel and then head to the airport to get your flight to Arusha. When you reach Kilimanjaro International Airport – Tanzania, you will be met by one of our professional Taste for Afrika tour guides in Tanzania and he or she will take you to your hotel. Some of the optional activities you can do while in Arusha include: visiting the museum, swimming, shopping among others.
Day 5 Transfer to Tarangire National Park
Today after an early breakfast at your hotel, travel to Tarangire National Park that features acacia woodland as well as grassland. You will then take a lunch break and proceed for a game drive within the park that is popular for the huge baobab trees and elephant population. While here you will be able to observe wildlife including leopards, lions, elephants, and others. The national park also has abundant birdlife in addition to native birds.

Day 6 Explore Tarangire National Park
You will start the day with breakfast very early in the morning at the lodge then prepare for a whole day of game drives and have a picnic lunch. You will come across a variety of wildlife in addition to watching their way of life. Wildebeests, gazelles, elephants, buffaloes, elands, giraffes, hartebeest are some of the animals you will see here.

Day 7 Transfer to Ngorongoro crater
Begin the day with breakfast at your lodge and then set off for Karatu where you will tour the Karatu market, take an ethno-botanical walk in addition to visiting the endemic Iraq Tribe that lives in the Karatu area. Proceed to the Ngorongoro crater conservation area and check-in at your accommodation for lunch. Spend the evening at leisure at the lodge or take a guided nature walk in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area following the Endoro Trail to Endoro waterfalls as well as to see the Elephant’s Caves.

Day 18 Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater
You will start the day with breakfast early in the morning at your lodge then proceed to an early morning game drive inside the Ngorongoro crater where you can enjoy a picnic lunch at the hippo poolside. The game drive will continue up to late in the afternoon. You will be able to observe a number of animals such as Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, waterbucks, the black rhinos, common eland, hippopotamus, waterbucks, hippopotamus, African buffalo, the blue wildebeest Grant’s zebra in addition to many others. You will have your fill with the game viewing in the Crater floor of the popular Ngorongoro Crater which is basically a natural zoo for wildlife.

Day 9 Transfer to Serengeti National Park
You will set off for Ndutu through Olduvai Gorge so that you can explore the fascinating museum that is situated at this very popular world archaeological site that has fossils of ancient two (2) million-year-old human ancestors. You will then proceed for a game drive via the extensive Ndutu area located in western Ngorongoro where you can stop for lunch. You will continue with a game drive in the afternoon
and then you will head back to your camp where you will spend the night. You can pass by a Maasai village at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a cultural tour. You will most likely come across a few of the animals that reside in the park.

Day 10 and 11 Explore Serengeti NP
You will have breakfast at your lodge and then head out for a game drive. Pack your lunch and have fun with a whole day of game viewing in the park that inhabits the highest population of large mammals worldwide. You will come across Coke’s hartebeest, solitary leopards, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, large prides of lions, cheetahs plus tens of thousands of topi. The park also boasts of abundant impala, hippo, Masai giraffe, warthog plus impala. A few of the scarce types of antelopes also live in the park for example roan antelope, graceful impalas, common eland, dik-dik, lesser kudu, graceful impalas, klipspringer plus the fringe-eared oryx. The terrain in Serengeti National Park features rock formations that remained after the Pre-Cambrian time, open plains, open woodlands plus kopjes.

Day 12 Game drive to the Mara River
Start the day with breakfast at your lodge then head to the Mara River where you will get the opportunity to see the great migration of the zebras, wildebeests plus gazelles. This river bursts through the northern part of Serengeti from the neighboring Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. It is exciting to see the frenzied herds of wildebeest migration navigating the Mara River, there are usually episodes of terror and disorganization. While you travel through the park, you will come across numerous animals
that reside in the park in addition to birds. You will also be captivated by the scenery of the Serengeti
plains.

Day 13 Game drive in Lake Manyara
You start your day with breakfast at the lodge then take a trip within the park. You will navigate through
tall forests, varied vegetation of acacia woodlands, grassy floodplains while looking for wildlife and you
will probably see numerous animals plus birds that reside in the park. You will make a stopover on the
lakeshore to appreciate the distinct bird species and make sure to search for the pink flamingo. The
remainder of the Manyara ecosystem is made up of grassy areas, mountainsides, hot springs,
marshlands plus woodlands. You will travel majorly through
tall forest, acacia woodlands as well as grassy floodplains while looking for wildlife such as large herds of

Day 14 Departure
This will be the final day of our safari; after breakfast, you will travel to Arusha. When you reach Arusha,
